Latino Virginia is a bilingual oral history project that documents, engages with, and centers the stories of immigrant and US-born Latinos. The first-hand accounts shared in this digital archive shed light on the migration histories, diversity, social and economic integration, leadership, and resilience of Latinos in Virginia. This community-engaged project creates links between VCU, the Latino community, and immigrant-serving organizations in Virginia, opening a window into an increasingly multicultural state. Latino Virginia es un proyecto bilingüe de historias orales que documenta, conecta y destaca las historias de latinos inmigrantes y nacidos en Estados Unidos. Los testimonios de primera mano que se comparten en este archivo digital nos ayudan a entender mejor las historias de migración, la diversidad, la integración social y económica, el liderazgo y la resiliencia de las comunidades latinas en Virginia. Este proyecto comunitario crea vínculos entre VCU, la comunidad latina y las organizaciones que atienden a inmigrantes en Virginia, contribuyendo así a un estado cada vez más multicultural.
